After years of delivering keynotes at conferences, companies, and colleges across the country, one lesson among many has become crystal clear: the speech itself is just one part of the process. There is a lot that goes into each talk, and just as much to do when the talk is over. As most top speakers will attest, the follow-up, feedback, relationships, and trust you build after you leave the stage can play a vital role in fueling your long-term impact.

A few years ago, I was invited to sign up as a charter member for a new software platform called Talkadot. I didn’t need to know anything about it to say yes, as I fully trusted the person who invited me, Talkadot co-founder Arel Moodie. However, as soon as I started using Talkadot, it became an important part of my workflow.

One of the most valuable features Talkadot offers is its ability to gather real-time feedback from audience members immediately following a talk. Traditional feedback often arrives late and lacks specificity. Attendees may forget the details of the session, and their comments are usually vague and difficult to act on. With Talkadot, the response is immediate, thoughtful, and highly actionable. You understand in real-time what audiences love, what audiences like, what you can do better, etc. I believe strongly that feedback is essential to success in anything you do, and receiving real-time quantitative and qualitative feedback has been truly invaluable to me. The entire process is seamless, efficient, and remarkably professional.

A nice benefit of receiving real-time feedback is that I have walked away from every talk I have given since I started using Talkadot with detailed testimonials, quantitative ratings, and audience insights that are not only helpful in improving future talks but also serve as compelling validation when speaking with potential clients. Today, I feature more than a hundred testimonials on my website, many of which were generated through Talkadot. Each one adds a layer of trust and transparency for future event planners and decision-makers. Talkadot also offers an AI-driven summary tool that I have found to be especially useful. Anyone who has ever tried to write their own bio or promotional copy knows how difficult it can be to strike the right tone. The summary generated by Talkadot’s AI tool – generated through the feedback provided by thousands of people who have heard me speak – is remarkably accurate and gives me another way to communicate how I am received by audiences.

What sets Talkadot apart even further is the ecosystem they have built around their product. The platform isn’t just a tool; it’s part of a larger community of speakers committed to growth and excellence. Their virtual events and trainings provide meaningful insights. I had the opportunity to attend their inaugural in-person retreat, Talkacon, and the value delivered throughout was extraordinary. I participated in intimidate sessions with fellow speakers that were tactical, focused, and designed to elevate the business side of speaking. Every speaker had a segment of their talk professionally filmed on a stage that mirrored a high-end event, and those videos were then turned into personalized demo reels that could be used for future marketing.

Also of note, the team behind Talkadot has been consistently outstanding. Their customer support is responsive, thoughtful, and proactive. Any time I have had a question or suggestion, someone has followed up quickly, often offering to get on a call to help. That level of attention is rare and speaks volumes about their commitment to serving speakers.

Over the years, I have seen countless tools and platforms promise to revolutionize the speaking industry. Maybe some of them are actually as good as advertised. I can personally attest to the value of Talkadot. Whether you are just getting started or are looking to scale your speaking business, Talkadot can help – from gathering powerful feedback to building credibility to networking with other people who know their stuff. Needless to say, Talkadot has been more than worth it for me, and if you are also on the speaking journey, I trust that it will be for you too.
